The Offspring, Guns N’Roses, in negotiations for Rock the City 2012

The 2012 edition of the Rock the City festival will take place in Bucharest June 29 to July 1, featuring about 15 bands. The organizers are currently in negotiations with The Offspring and Guns N’Roses, although these names have yet to be confirmed, D&D East Entertainment production manager Lenti Chiriac stated, quoted by Mediafax. The festival organizers have scheduled a press conference, which Marcel Avram is also to attend, for next week to announce the festival line-up, as well as other related projects. Rock the City 2012 is to take place at Romexpo or in the Constitution Square, Lenti Chiriac said. He added that the line-up would include 14 or 15 bands, belonging to a wider range of genres, also including trash, alternative and goth. “It will be way better than last year,” Lenti Chiriac concluded.Rock the City 2011 took place July 1 to 3 in the Constitution Square and guest bands included Prodigy, Therapy?, Mike and the Mechanics, Hatebreed, Whitesnake and Judas Priest.
