Minors, raped by Targu-Mures municipal employee

An employee of the Targu Mures municipality is accused of repeatedly raping three minor girls. Although the rapes took place last year, police received the complaint only these days. The man, aged 55, was detained by police yesterday for 24 hours, under the accusation of sex abuse against minors. According to the spokeswoman of IPJ Mures, commissary Livia Popa, the victims are aged between 13 and 15. “During the investigation, two searches were made which provided police with several pieces of evidence. The offender was detained for 24 hours, under the charge of rape in continued form,” Popa said, quoted by Mediafax. Yesterday evening, the man was due to be presented in court, with the proposal of being placed in preventive arrest. According to judiciary sources, the man is an employee of the Targu Mures Municipality, where he works as warehouse keeper in the Medieval Citadel of the town, administered by the institution.
