EU to allot EUR 10 M for the distribution of fruits in schools

Romania will receive from the EU almost EUR 10 M for the distribution of fruits and vegetables in schools, during the 2012-2013 school year, according to a draft decision of the European Executive. Allotting money by the EU as part of the ‘School Fruit Scheme’ programme was approved by the member states of the Management Committee, and the Commission will formally make a decision in the coming weeks, reads an EC press release quoted by Mediafax.
