‘La Boheme,’ projected live tomorrow at the Bucharest Opera

The famous opera ‘La Boheme,’ performed at the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), will be projected live in HD, tomorrow, starting 9.00 PM, at the National Opera of Bucharest (ONB), the institution informs. The special guest of the event is Fiorenza Cedolins, the famous Italian soprano which sang for the first time at the National Opera of Bucharest in an extraordinary show with the same name, in December 2011. The soprano will impersonate Mimi. The current performance of ‘La Boheme’ by Giacomo Puccini features famous names of the lyric stage, such as Ramon Vargas (Rodolfo), Christopher Maltman (Marcello), Ainhoa Arteta (Musetta), Gabriel Bermudez (Schaunard), Carlo Colombara (Colline) and Valeriano Lanchas (Benoit, Alcindoro). The orchestra will be conducted by Victor Pablo Perez, and the director of the show is Giancarlo del Monaco. Tickets are available at the ticket desk of ONB, or online at www.bilet.ro.Also in March, ONB will air live the ballet ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (March 22, starting 9.30 PM) from the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden – London). The shows are aired with support from the ‘Friends of Opera’ Association.
