Oana Niculescu Mizil called a press conference yesterday to announce her stepping down from the Social Democratic Party (PSD). “Unfortunately, things are no longer what they used to be, and to some PSD leaders, power and personal wealth are much more important. They would do anything to get to the top,” Oana Mizil told the press conference, according to Antena 3. She added that many would say she had been kicked out of the party. “I learned from television that I had been expelled from the PSD Calarasi leadership. I have been sacked, and the PSD sold the Calarasi County to the PNL <National Liberal Party>,” Mizil also said.
