According to a media release by the National Pit Coal Company Petrosani (CNH), their employees obtained at trade union – Economy Ministry negotiations last week Easter gift vouchers worth RON 250 to 400. CNH has 6,000 employees working underground, and over 1,700 on the ground. Last week, CNH employees held several protest actions, including marches, demanding, among others, higher bonuses and coal prices, along wit a RON 100 increase, from RON 600 to 700, in danger bonus. CNH will split this year, with a portion of the company to become part of a national energy company, which will go private later on.
