Jazz gala in memoriam Johnny Raducanu, on April 6

The 9th edition of the Jazz Prizes Gala, awarded by the Muzza Foundation, will take place on April 6, starting 7.30 PM, at Godot Cafe-Teatru in the Old Center of Bucharest, and will be dedicated to famous jazzman Johnny Raducanu, who died last year, Mediafax reports. The Jazz Awards Gala is organised by the Muzza Foundation jointly with the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony, and the Romanian Union of Composers and Musicologists. The list of guests in this year’s edition includes the famous musicians Jancsy Korossy (85 years old / the excellence award), Nicolas Simion, Luiza Zan, Florin Raducanu, the young artists Alex Padureanu, Toma Dimitriu and Al Baroc, laureates of recent contests, reputed bluesmen Vali ‘Sir’ Blues Racila and Raul Kusak, and the bands Guilty Lemon of Sibiu and Marius Pop&M Theory, which were the revelations of these years. The gala will end with a surprise recital. The price of a ticket is RON 30.
