Over 100,000 acute respiratory infections, of which nearly 20,000 pneumonia and 21 flu cases, have been registered during the past week, the Health Ministry announced yesterday, according to which respiratory infections March 5-11, rose 3.8 pc from the previous week. Pneumonia cases totalled 20,538, down 2.9 pc from the earlier week. The AH3N2 viral strain was responsible for 216 flu cases, and the B strain, three cases. The Health Ministry said the central, eastern and southern areas have been hit hardest.
