Writer Mihai Sora, film director Radu Mihaileanu (photo), pianists Horia Mihail and Dan Grigore, and the scientists that created the Goliat project – the first nanosatellite launched into space by a Romanian organisation – received awards Monday evening, during the gala of Radio Romania Cultural, held at the Odeon Theatre of Bucharest. The Poetry Award of Radio Romania Cultural went to Ioan Es Pop, for his book named ‘Sleeping tools. With 10 drawings by Dumitru Gorzo,’ published by the ‘Cartea Romaneasca’ publishing house. The Prose Award was won by Octavian Soviany, for his book ‘The life of Kostas Venetis,’ while the Film Award went to ‘Something Good from Life’ directed by Dan Pita. Director Gavriil Pinte was the laureate of the Theatre Award, for his play ‘The Cioran Temptation,’ Neculai Paduraru won the Plastic Arts Award, and pianist Dan Grigore received the Music Award. The award for ‘Cultural magazines and supplements’ went to the Romanian edition of ‘Letttre Internationale’ in memory of B. Elvin, who died in September 2011. The award for ‘TV cultural shows, campaigns and broadcasts’ was offered to the ‘Garantat 100%’ show produced by Catalin Stefanescu for TVR 1.
