Bode: The companies controlled by the Ministry of Economy must stop purchasing cars and furniture

The companies controlled by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment (MECMA) will postpone or plainly stop purchasing items like cars and office furniture, and they must make public all their expenses by March 26, Minister Lucian Bode announced, quoted by Mediafax. “This process is about transparency. In parallel, we are making evaluations for each company, because many expenses cannot be justified, but I think we can stop, or at least postpone some of them,” Bode said. Premier Mihai Razvan Ungureanu asked his ministers, at the beginning of March, to cut the expenses for trips and promotion actions abroad, such as fairs and exhibitions.
