Romania to have poorer crop yield this year

Ion Sandu, general manager of the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), has stated that Romania will have a poorer crop yield this year despite the fact that this winter’s snowfalls replenished the soil’s humidity reserve, realitatea.net informs. “Without this winter’s snowfalls the crops would have been completely compromised in my opinion. For the time being we still have a chance. March is very bad, with precipitation levels below 10 liters per square meter. If April is different we could say we will have a good crop yield, not a very good one because we already know the rape seed crops are compromised,” Sandu explained.
