Demand for Transelectrica shares soared to some 48 pc

Investors subscribed Friday 31.58 pc of the package of shares put on sale by the state in Transelectrica (TEL), almost twice the value registered during the first seven days of the offer, so demand advanced to 47.74 pc and the value of orders reached RON 78.5 M (EUR 17.9 M), Mediafax reports. As brokers expected, investors started posting more orders in the last days of the offer. Subscriptions were made at prices that reached the minimum and maximum of the offer, i.e. RON 14.90 and RON 19.2. Big investors subscribed 44.17 pc of the shares, while small investors placed orders for 3.6 pc of the shares. Subscriptions by big investors cumulated RON 72.6 M (EUR 16.6 M), while those by small players amounted to a total RON 5.9 M (EUR 1.3 M). The offer in which the state wants to sell 15 pc of Transelectrica started on March 14 and will end Tuesday, March 27
