Romania’s Diana Chelaru won the gold medal on Sunday in the final of the floor event at the World Cup in Cottbus. Diana Chelaru scored 14,375 points, being followed by Uzbekistan’s Luiza Galiulina (13,750 pts), Canada’s Dominique Pegg and Germany’s Kim Bui (13,725 pts each). The day before, Chelaru finished the uneven bars event on 7th place (13,500 pts). Also on Sunday, Romania’s Gabriela Dragoi finished the balance beam event on 6th place (12,800 pts). Vasilii Milousi won the event (14,425 pts). The World Cup in Cottbus was the first stage of the World Cup circuit and consisted of only apparatus events. The second stage will take place in Doha (March 28-30), where Romania will be represented by Catalina Ponor, Larisa Iordache, Diana Bulimar, Vlad Cotuna, Cristian Bataga and Ovidiu Buidoso.
