Imports from Hungary exceed exports

Romanian-Hungarian trade exchanges rose 26 pc last year, to a record 7.3 bln euro, yet Romania’s bilateral trade deficit amounts to 2.4 bln euro, the highest ever recorded with any of its trade partners, Mediafax reports. “Romania’s exports totalled over 2.5 bln euro, while imports added up to 4.8 bln euro,” Romania’s ambassador to Hungary, Alexandru Victor Micula, told the seminar “Investment opportunities in Romania” in Budapest, Friday, organized by OTP Bank and the Hungarian Business Association in Romania
