Finnish minister of European Affairs, in Romania

The Finnish minister of European Affairs and Foreign Trade, Alexander Stubb, pays a visit to Romania today, following an invitation issued by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Cristian Diaconescu. On this occasion, the Finnish official will also meet Leonard Orban and Lucian Bode. According to MAE, the talks between the two dignitaries will focus on the stage of the bilateral relation and a series of matters of mutual interest present on the European agenda, such as consolidating the economic governance, the negotiations on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework for 2014-2020, the enlargement process of the Union, the developments of the Eastern Neighbourhood, and the European Framework Strategy on the Roma community. The two ministers will also discuss matters related to the enlargement of the Schengen Zone with Romania and Bulgaria, and proposals aimed at consolidating this area.
