Foreign Minister Cristian Diconescu received Philippe Gustin, the incoming French ambassador to Romania, who paid a presentation visit to the Romanian FM. According to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) , the meeting expressed the firm political will by the two states to boost bilateral cooperation part of the broad and structures framework of the Strategic Partnership, with a need for an updated Road Map in sectorial areas of common interest and for the two sides to concentrate on concrete and achievable projects. The dynamic was hailed of trade exchanges and development potential, given France is Romania’s third-largest partner, according to the MAE press communiqué. The French ambassador outlined the important role his term will give to the continuous development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
