Rapid Bucharest registered a goalless draw in its home game against Dinamo Bucharest on Sunday. The game was leg 24’s derby. Rapid asked for a penalty early in the game, after Scarlatache brought down Surdu. The game was qualitatively disappointing, so that many considered it an April Fool’s Day derby. There were 10,000 fans in the stands, 400 of which rooted for Dinamo, Mediafax informs. Rapid Bucharest coach Razvan Lucescu stated that his players dominated the game and made Dinamo look like a little league team. “It was a game we dominated copiously, a game through which we managed to make a team like Dinamo look like a little league team. We lacked the peace of mind we needed and that’s my only regret,” Lucescu stated. Dinamo Bucharest coach Liviu Ciubotariu stated that his players flunked when it came to launching attacks but congratulated them for winning a point in an away game. “It’s a result that favors neither us nor Rapid. Unfortunately we didn’t play great in the offence, on the other hand we played very well in the defence. I congratulate my team for winning a point in an away game, but we flunked when it came to offence,” Ciobotariu stated. Another result registered on Sunday: Gaz Metan Medias 0 – Astra Ploiesti 0.
