Chiliman resigns from PNL’s Central Political Bureau

District 1 Mayor Andrei Chiliman announced on Tuesday that he resigns from PNL’s Central Political Bureau, pointing out that he will remain a simple party member.“I resign from PNL’s Central Political Bureau. I consider that as a member of PNL’s current leadership team, voted on the list proposed by President Crin Antonescu, I am no longer able to do what I want for the citizens that placed their trust in me. It’s a gesture of honor towards those for which I entered politics and towards the party’s president,” Chiliman stated, being quoted by Mediafax. He stated that he consulted his wife and the party’s current honorary leaders. “I was elected on the list that he proposed during the 2010 Congress. Since he lost confidence in me I have the duty to resign,” Chiliman said.
