The National Library of Romania was opened at its new location yesterday by Prime-Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu, Culture Minister Kelemen Hunor and Deputy Prime-Minister Marko Bela. The Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Kelemen Hunor, said paper books would not disappear as multimedia technology develops. He declared his belief that ‘the book will have a long and strong life, because man needs the printed book, printed culture and literature’.
