Siemens posted EUR 500 M-plus turnover over past 3 years

German group Siemens’ last three years’ turnover in Romania exceeded 500 M euro, with the company being active on the local market in sectors including  industry, energy, health and IT, Mediafax reports. “I believe clean business can be done in Romania,”, Cristian Secosan General Manager Siemens Romania, told a conference yesterday organized by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce, Embassy of Germany. Secosan made the point that last year was Siemens’ best ever with respect to turnover and profitability. Globally, Siemens reported in the fiscal year 2011, continued operations revenues matching 73.5 bln euro, up 7 pc from earlier year, while the profit after tax rose 4.068 bln euro, to 6.321 bln euro.
