A policeman of Targoviste, probed in a case concerning the theft of oil products, was hospitalised with head injuries, after he was hit by two men whom he caught trying to steal a radio-cassette player from his automobile, parked in his yard. “While trying to immobilize the thieves, the policeman was injured at the head. He was taken to the Targoviste Emergency Hospital and he is out of danger now,” the spokeswoman of the Targoviste Police, Raluca Florescu said. The policeman recollected how he saw the thieves jumping the fence and, when he tried to immobilize them, they attacked him with a knife then ran away. The 32 year old policeman is probed in a case related to the theft of oil products, in 2011. Now he works for the Targoviste Police, with reduced prerogatives.
