Brasov doctors operated early in the week on a patient with a kidney tumor weighing 5.6 kg, which, along with the kidney, was half a meter long. The tumor appears to be of the malignant type, according to Mediafax. The doctor who operated on the patient said he has seldom seen such case in his 20-year career as a surgeon. Had the patient not come to hospital, the tumor could have spread to the aortic artery and the cava vein, which would have made surgery impossible. The patient is reported in stable condition and he will be discharged from hospital in a couple of days.
