The general mayor of Bucharest, Sorin Oprescu took the lead in a top of confidence in politicians, moving ahead of USL co-presidents Crin Antonescu and Victor Ponta, and also of former PM Mihai Razvan Ungureanu.Sorin Oprescu thus reached a confidence score of 25.3 pc and is the most popular politician now, finds an opinion poll conducted by IMAS in April, ordered by the Adevarul newspaper.Second in the top of confidence comes PNL President Crin Antonescu, with 24.4 pc, followed by acting premier Victor Ponta with a score of 24 pc.The next position is occupied by Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, which is highly appreciated by 23.5 pc of the subjects polled by IMAS on April 4-13, 2012.The 5th place of the top of confidence is held by the PDL candidate for the position of Bucharest mayor, Silviu Prigoana (13.2 pc), followed by the speaker of the Senate, Vasile Blaga (11 pc) and by President Traian Basescu with 10.1 pc.A previous IMAS poll conducted in March found that President Traian Basescu, the premier Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, PSD leader Victor Ponta and PNL President Crin Antonescu jointly cumulated a confidence score of 78.2 pc, little above the result obtained by Health Ministry official Raed Arafat alone.In the top of confidence, the electorate had a better opinion about Victor Ponta (25.9 pc) than in the presidential candidate of USL, Crin Antonescu (24.6 pc).
