Ponta dismisses ANAF vice-president and several state secretaries

PM Victor Ponta dismissed Mihai Gogancea-Vatasoiu from the position of vice-president of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), which he occupied since January 2009. The premier also signed decision through which he removes from office the state secretaries Marius Iurascu (Ministry of Culture), Eugen Curteanu (Ministry of development and Tourism), Ioan Haiduc (The Agency for the Implementation of SME Projects).Ponta also appointed Anca Nicoleta Alexandrescu as state counselor with the prime minister’s working apparatus, and Ion Lazar – one of his former subalterns, when he was the chief of the Control Department of the Nastase Cabinet – as head of the Prime Minister’s Control Body.As part of the same restructuring process, Ponta dismissed the top management of the State Inspectorate for Construction. Another nomination was that of Daniel Daianu as state counselor for economic matters. As state secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ponta appointed Dan Petre, an advisor of former president Emil Constantinescu, to replace Anton Niculescu.
