Rompetrol Rafinare posts consolidated turnover of USD 1.1 bln for Q1

Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC), part of the Rompetrol group, posted for the first quarter of the year, a consolidated turnover of USD 1.1 bln, up 2 pc against the similar interval of 2011, and net losses of USD 62.7 M, 5.5 times higher year-on-year, Mediafax reports. For January-March 2011, the company reported a turnover of USD 1.07 bln, and net losses of USD 11.3 M. The consolidated results of Rompetrol Rafinare include the results of Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol Petrochemicals, Rom Oil, Rompetrol Downstream, Rompetrol Logistics and Rompetrol Gas. The results are non-audited and consolidated, and were calculated according to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In Q1 this year, Rompetrol Rafinare obtained a negative EBITDA (Earnings Before Interests, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) of USD 11.6 M, down from a positive result of USD 46.1 M in the first quarter of 2011, according to the quarterly financial report issued by the company.
