184 incidents, 53 crimes and RON 33,000 worth of fines in just five days of campaign

A total of 184 electoral incidents and 53 crimes have been reported in just five days, since the beginning of the election campaign until May 14, Minister Delegate for Administration Victor Paul Dobre is quoted by Mediafax as saying yesterday. According to the minister, 103 of the 184 incidents happened in rural areas, in the following order: Dambovita (22), Hunedoara (19), Mehedinti (14) and Braila (13). A total of 76 fines worth about RON 33,000 have been applied. Most of the 76 fines were applied by the Police in the following order by county: Braila (13), Dambovita (11) and Prahova (7). The information presented by the minister shows that, out of the total 53 crimes reported, 13 were promises, offering or giving of goods and two were illegal carriage of cutting weapons. A total of 310 electoral events were held in the first five days of campaign, the most taking place in Timisoara (32), Teleorman (25), Brasov (23) and five sanctions for misdemeanours were applied during them
