Gov’t approves letter of intent to the IMF that includes the salary increase

The government approved the letter of intent in which it informs the IMF about its intention to finalise this year the process meant to restore salaries in the public sector, with an 8 pc increase in June followed by the “complete restoration” in December, government sources said, quoted by Mediafax. The document was approved in a cabinet meeting held yesterday, and will be sent for approval to the Board of the IMF.
