Former university lecturer commits suicide

A 33-year-old woman, former lecturer at the Faculty of Letters in Pitesti, was found dead on Sunday in the apartment she was living in. The woman’s grandparents made the gruesome discovery. The investigators’ preliminary data shows that she committed suicide. According to police representatives, the teacher was under legal investigation, being accused of committing fraud by promising her students discounts if they chose to pay their tuition fees through her. Despite doing so, the students were later notified that they risked being expelled unless they paid their tuition fees. The lecturer was subsequently fired two months ago. Investigators found two goodbye notes in which she asks for forgiveness, asking her family members to keep “an honorable memory” of her.
