Green light for “rationally regulated” hunting in Danube Delta

The Lower Chamber adopted yesterday an emergency ordinance that stipulates a series of economic-social measures in the Danube Delta, introducing the possibility of “rationally regulated hunting” within the nature reserve, as well as facilitating fishing for the residents’ personal consumption. According to amendments introduced within the agriculture and public administration commissions, residents in this area will be able to fish for their families’ consumption using their own fishing tools defined by law and on the basis of fishing permits. The draft law will be sent to the Head of State for promulgation, the Lower Chamber being the decisional chamber in this case.
