A locomotive overturned yesterday morning in a turn at the entrance of the Timisul de Jos train station, toppling two electricity poles. The mechanic wanted to check something and got off the locomotive in the Darste train station, without activating the brakes. The locomotive started moving and kept moving for several kilometers, reaching a speed of over 100 kilometers per hour. The locomotive eventually overturned in a turn. There were no victims. The locomotive, which belongs to a private railway operator, was not pulling train carriages. The mechanic was heard by prosecutors yesterday.
