The Government decided that Oltchim should go under a special administration procedure. The representatives of the Ministry of Economy have told Oltchim union heads that they would bring before the Cabinet a minimal plan of measures to help the company resume work and promised that a decision would be made as soon as possible, Mediafax reports. The protest of the approximately 100 union members from Oltchim ended after their representatives had come out from the talks at the Ministry of Economy. Oltchim labour union leader Mihai Niculoiu told protesters he hoped employees would receive their salaries for April by the end of June. Niculoiu said that, when he returns to Ramnicu Valcea, he and his colleagues would decide on whether the protests scheduled for Thursday and Friday at the PSD and PNL headquarters would take place or not.
