Premier Victor Ponta is addressing Parliament today at 10am in order to present the conclusions of last week’s European Council summit. The decision was taken yesterday by the Lower Chamber’s and Senate’s joint permanent bureaus. On the eve of the speech, the Cabinet met in extraordinary meeting in order to take several decisions in view of implementing the summit’s conclusions. On Sunday, Ponta announced that he will inform President Basescu about this issue in a written form. Also today, at 9am, the two Chambers’ culture commissions will discuss the proposals made for the leadership of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company (SRR). Starting at 4pm the Senate will hold an extraordinary session in order to discuss draft laws that have fallen behind schedule as well as the uninominal vote law that the Constitutional Court declared to be unconstitutional last week.
