Walter Tosto to invest EUR 30 M in FECNE plant

Walter Tosto, the Italian producer of equipment for the oil and gas industry which took over the Bucharest-based Plant for Nuclear Energy Equipment and Components (FECNE), will invest approximately EUR 30 M in the plant, Mediafax informs. The company took over FECNE at the start of the year from the Romenergo energy producer and supplier. FECNE was bought by Norwegian Group Kvaerner in 1998 and was then taken over by Nuclearmontaj in 2002. Nuclearmontaj was a member of the Tender Energy Group controlled by businessman Ovidiu Tender. In 2006 FECNE entered judicial reorganization and liquidation and was bought by Romenergo in 2011.
