Raiffeisen Bank launched the second edition of the grant programme named ‘Raiffeisen Comunitati’ (Raiffeisen Communities), a financing programme for small and medium-scale local projects in the communities where the bank operates, reads a press release. The main purpose of this initiative is to support be financial means or direct involvement (volunteering, consulting) the NGOs that have good projects, of interest for local communities. The winners will be designated following an online voting process. Raiffeisen Bank provides a maximum financing of EUR 5,000 per project, and the total sum allotted to the initiative amounts to EUR 100,000. The eligible fields of the projects are education – financial, entrepreneurial or civic (formal); social services – which stimulate the autonomy of assisted people; mass sports, as a healthy way of life; health, environment protection – urban ecology. The winner projects must start during October – December 2012.The first phase of the contest kicked off Monday, July 2 and will last until July 20. The second phase that will run between July 23 and August 3, will consist in detailing the projects that remained in the contest, after the selection of the letters of intent.
