Artmark is inaugurating this month a special category of auctions dedicated to vintage and collection jewelry, according to a press communiqué to Nine O’Clock. Diamond rings, pendants, broaches and precious stones bracelets are among the nearly 100 exception jewelry pieces to be auctioned off concurrently at Mamaia and Bucharest. The most valuable item is a Crivelli evening necklace made up of five white gold chains decorated with over 1000 diamonds, 36 karats in all, price estimate – EUR 80,000 – 105,000. The auction will be held concurrently at the Vega Hotel din Mamaia and the Cesianu-Racovita Palace in Bucharest on the evening of July 8. The jewels are on display at Vega Hotel in Mamaia thru the day of the action. Diamonds are the other stars of this first Artmark jewelry auction: „Solitaire” – white gold with a very large 11.04 Karat black diamond (estimated price EUR 9,500 – 14,000), the exceptional ring Gilberto Preda, white gold, adorned a record number of 350 diamonds (price estimate EUR 15,000 – 25,000) and „Intrecciato”, a superb Crivelli ring of pink gold with diamonds, rubies and pink sapphire (estimated price EUR 11,000 – 16,000). Among the collection jewelry, an Austrian-Hungarian broach of gold and silver with diamonds (estimated price EUR 2,800 – 5,500) as well as the “Bluebonnet Flower”, a broach of massive gold held to be the work of Joseph Resch, the jeweler of King Carol I, adorned with diamonds (price estimate EUR 1,500 – 2,200).
