Benoit Catel is the new President of Volksbank Romania

As of this month, Volksbank Romania has a new President in the person of Benoit Catel, who will replace Johann Lurf, reads a press release. Benoit Catel has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. For the last 10 years, he worked with French bank Caisse d’Epargne. Prior to his nomination with Volksbank Romania, Benoit Catel led the Reunion branch of BPCE. Previously, he was the manager of the Local and Regional Authorities and Social Economy Department of the Caisse d`Epargne HQ. Additionally, Benoit Catel coordinated the euro adoption process of Caisse d`Epargne. He will manage the executive decision-making structure of the Bank – the Board of Directors – which includes vice-presidents Lucian Cojocaru (in charge with Sales), Alexander Tscherteu (in charge with Loan Management) and Sorin Serban (in charge with Restructuring and Loan Recovery).
