Irregularities and over priced procurements in case of two agencies reporting to MAdr

Ministry of Agriculture filed a compliant with Police and DNA (National Anti-Corruption Directorate) on several irregularities found in case of certain procurements, according to Antena 3 TV. The report of Minister Daniel Constantin control body indicated that in case of two agencies reporting to the Ministry, irregularities were found in relation to the over priced procurement of products, compared to the actual market value. In addition, breaches of legislation were identified within the National Agency for Amelioration and Reproduction of Livestock and National Agency for Fiscal Improvements.The report also indicates that “the administration purchased, in 2010, in the absence of a legal procedure for public procurement, tools and small mechanic instruments, at a high value, low quality, part of them being now on inventory, which is evidence to their lack of usefulness, the procurement being made from company S.C. ARSIS TUB INVEST S.R.L., with a total value of RON 451972.68. Ministry of Agriculture also outlined that “in case of the procurements made in 2010 and in 2011 by ANIF RA, the price of most of the products supplied by SC MITALTEH SRL is a few times higher than the similar offer in the market and many of the products are not related in any way with the land development and improvement activity”.
