Storm warning, temperatures to go down

After an extremely hot weekend, during which temperatures reached even 41 centigrade, rain and storm warnings are launched for early this week.

Following melting at over 41 centigrade in Bucharest and in other 15 counties in the Southern part of the country over Saturday and Sunday, being under orange extreme hot weather warning, the weather caprices are unstoppable. Thus, most of the regions are targeted as of Sunday afternoon, by a meteorological warning of storms, being expected that weather cools down throughout the country, temperatures of 35 – 36 centigrade being expected only in the Southern part of the country, according to National Weather Forecast Administration.Weather instability has gradually grown in most of the regions as of Sunday afternoon and the weather experts were announcing wind intensifications until Monday, 21.00h, which may temporarily become stormy, along with thunders, drizzle here and there and strong rain showers. According to ANM, the water down pouring will exceed 20-30 l per square meter, mainly in Moldova and in the mountains. Over the week end, because of the extreme hot weather, restrictions were imposed for high weight vehicles along roads in 15 counties. Vehicles with a total maximum authorised weigh over 7.5 tones were not allowed to run between 11.00 and 20.00 on national roads in the 15 counties from the Southern part of the country, this restriction being triggered by the orange extreme hot weather, according to IGPR info-traffic Center. In Bucharest, during the orange code, eight anti-hot weather tents were installed and over 20 first aid points are available in the markets and squares from the center and from parks, to which social centers add where water and air-conditioning are available for people. According to the representatives of Bucharest City Hall, cited by Mediafax, the Administration of Bucharest Hospitals and Medical Services (ASSMB) installed the medical tents, where air conditioned, water fans, specialist medical staff, medicines and specialist equipment are available.Also, ASSMB prepared two medial first aid cabinets in Grozavesti complex and in Universitate underground passage, where Bucharesters can get medical assistance.
