Vodafone announced yesterday in a communiqué that it has developed a national network of 80 Wi-Fi areas located in 26 cities, giving users the possibility to freely and promotionally test internet services, irrespective of the network whose customers they are. Wi-Fi connection points are located in Alba Iulia, Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Brasov, Bucharest, Cavnic, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Costinesti, Fagaras, Focsani, Galati, Iasi, Mamaia, Medgidia, Oradea, Ploiesti, Piatra Neamt, Sibiu, Sighisoara, Targu Jiu, Targu Mures, Timisoara, Targoviste and Tunari. In Bucharest, Vodafone installed free internet access points, through Wi-Fi, in Plaza Romania and Polivalenta Hall too. The Wi-Fi coverage programme’s first stage consisted of offering free unlimited internet on a series of main ski slopes in Gura Humorului, Straja, Cavnic (Icoana), Baisoara, Arieseni (Vartop), Predeal and Poiana Brasov. Also yesterday, Vodafone announced that users that need access to mobile internet benefit from a new portfolio of extra-options for the Internet Vodafone Card, but also from a roaming traffic offer.Thus, the aforementioned users can opt for a new 10-day internet extra-option that includes, for EUR 5, 0.5 GB traffic available at any time, plus 1 GB traffic from 12 PM to 7 AM. Those that opt for the 30-day internet extra-option receive 2 GB traffic available at any time and 4 GB nighttime traffic for EUR 9. The 30-day intensive internet option offers, for EUR 12, 3 GB initial traffic, plus 6 GB nighttime traffic. Moreover, users with advanced online communication needs can choose the 30-day internet super extra-option which offers, for EUR 15, 5 GB traffic available at any time plus 10 GB nighttime traffic.
