Romanians’ level of financial knowledge dropped in the past 18 months, 88 per cent of the respondents participating in a survey conducted by ING fitting in 2012 the levels “beginner” and “not knowledgeable”, by 11 per cent more than in 2010, according to a press release. In case of Romanians, the share of those who have a very low level of understanding money issues – profile “not knowledgeable” – has almost tripled from 8 per cent in 2010 to 21 per cent currently. At the opposite level, the best informed ones regarding money issues are the Greeks.
