The author of the bomb attack in Burgas entered Bulgaria from Romania, spoke Russian and was accompanied by a woman, the Bulgarian press reports, quoting investigation commission sources. Investigators say that the man who blew himself up at Burgas, July18, killing five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian driver, had lived in Varna since as early as July 16, at the latest. “Relevant biological evidence was found in a Varna hotel,” bTV quotes an investigator as saying. According to the newspaper Trud, Police is looking for a woman who had lived with the bomber at the Perfekt Hotel in Varna. The woman could be connected to an accomplice of the suicide terrorist. A taxi driver who picked the suicide bomber up said he spoke Russian. The taxi trip was between Ravda and Pomorie, two localities north of Burgas. So far, Bulgarian authorities have only made public that the suicide bomber was 36-year-old, had a fake US driver’s license and was not a Bulgarian national.
