Andreea Marta, the wife of the former chief of cabinet of former ANAF President Sorin Blejnar, and her sister Maria Magdalena Lungu were asking for a minimum of EUR 1,000 when their clients wanted a “top grade girl.” The minimum tariff for a girl stood at EUR 250-300. The two women and a taxi driver were placed under preventive arrest on July 19. According to investigators, there were cases in which “the financially influent” clients were asking for several young women at a time with which to spend their holidays abroad. The clients were paying for everything, so that the sums were running into the thousands of Euros. Judiciary sources stated for Mediafax that Andreea Marta was winning up to EUR 10,000 for a stay in Monte Carlo by trafficking girls for wealthy men.
