“3 x Mozart” Tour in three castles from Covasna

Over August 3 to 5, Arcus Culture Center in partnership with Union of Performing Interpreters in Romania and Foundation Diakonia organize Tour “3 x Mozart”.

The event shall include three chamber concerts performed by Tiberius Quartet belonging to Targu Mures Philarmonic Orchestra (Molnár Tibor – violin I, Lokodi Károly – violin II, Molnár József – viola, Zágoni El?d – cello) and counter-bas performer Kostyak Marton – special guest. The organizers decided that the three concerts within which Mozart music only shall be performed to take place in the garden of the three castles in Covasna county: Szentkereszty Castle from Arcus (Friday, August 3, 7 pm), Damokos Manor from Cernat (Saturday, 4 august, 7 pm) and Daniel Castle from Varghis (Sunday, 5 august, 7 pm). Within the program, Tiberius quartet shall perform Three diverstimento, Little serenade, Ave verom corpus, Alla turca, fragments from Requiem and from the operas Charming Flute and Don Giovanni. The guest of the Tour “3xMozart” is Professor Ph.D. Miltiade Nenoiu, president of the Union of Performing Musicians from Romania. He will introduce the audience in the Mozart atmosphere and he will present the audience a short history of the music from the perspective of a singer who performed Mozart on the great stages of the world. Price for 1 ticket is RON 10. Tiberius Quartet was found in 1994 and it was first remarked by Professor Devich Sandor. In 1996 it ranked the second within Cluj International Mozart Competition. In 2004, in Austria, they ranked the first – Erste Wiener Klassic Preis – for the best performing of the Viennese classic composers. Tiberius Quartet performs concerts in the country and abroad, with more than 15 concerts in USA. Since 2008, Tiberius quarter has been institutionalized under the leadership of Targu Mures State Philharmonic Orchestra.
