Romanian subsidiary of Schneider Electric announced the conclusion of a major project involving the delivery of medium-tension distribution Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) automation, control and integration equipment and solutions for the Electrica Muntenia Nord Electric Power Distribution Branch, Buzau Co. The estimated cost is EUR 0.5 M for this project implemented by Schneider Electric Romania in 2011, in partnership with Energopetrol, a company specializing in the manufacturing and installation of power lines, transformer substations, automation installations and telecommunication works. It entailed setting up complex solutions and equipment, as well as medium voltage equipment made up of RM6 compact cell panels providing a high degree of resistance to environmental factors (dust, water, small animals), low maintenance costs, also equipped with command and signaling elements.
