Hidroelectrica once again activates the force majeure clause

State company Hidroelectrica activated starting today at 00.00 hours, the force majeure clause, for the second time in less than a year, because of the severe draught that reduced the amounts of water carried by rivers and, implicitly, the amount of energy produced by the company, which will reach an all-time minimum this August, according to a press release.“The judiciary administrator of Hidroelectrica, Euro Insol assures all commercial partners that the force majeure clause will be kept in effect for the shortest time possible, as energy deliveries will resume according to obligations as soon as hydrological conditions will return to parameters that will allow returning to a normal output level, adds the document. The clause of force majeure will be enforced upon all electricity supply contracts signed by Hidroelectrica.
