Romanian Post privatisation consultant tender to be held in September

The Ministry of Communications will hold a tender September 10 for picking the consultant for the privatisation of the Romanian Post, a process that involves at least 20 pc of the communications operator, via an increase in share capital, as pledged with the International Monetary Fund (FMI), Mediafax quotes a Romanian Post announcement as saying. Participants to the auction will submit a participation guarantee of 50,000 euro and will pay 8.000 euro for the tender book. The consultant will supply the services enabling the implementation of the provisions of the privatization strategy and completion of the trading process of the new shares issued by a strategic investor. Late last year, the company piled debts equal to RON 556.9 M, and the median number of employees fell by over 2,500, to 32,124 employees.
