The first three players in life insurance market, ING, BCR Life and Alico, made, over 2007 – 2011, net profits amounting to RON 526.3 M, out of which dividends amounting to RON 417.6 M were distributed (close to EUR 100 M considering the RON/EUR average rates announced by BNR). The highest amount was paid to Alico Asigurari Romania, which received RON 172.5 M in November 2011. “Also, the company paid dividends worth RON 45.6 M in June 2010 from the profit made in 2009. These were the only decisions to grant and pay dividends adopted by shareholders since the establishment of the company,” company representatives say.
