Paleologu, critic of Basescu

Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) Vice-president Theodor Paleologu believes that suspended president Traian Basescu has not enjoyed popularity for quite some time. Paleologu said that Traian Basescu lost citizen sympathy not just due to austerity measures, but also to his behavior over time. “Traian Basescu is unpopular, he lost a great deal of his popularity, and not just due to austerity measures alone, but also on account of some statements, some gestures he made, how he trusted some people, he is unpopular indeed and that for quite some time,” the PDL vice-president said.
