Web sites of OMV Petrom, Rompetrol and Lukoil inform about higher prices for petrol and diesel by RON 0.09 per litter. In case of OMV Petrom, the largest company on the Romanian market, petrol price advanced by RON 0.40 in less than two months. Between May 15 and June 30, the company considered five price cuts, each by RON 0.03. After the cuts, five raises followed, between RON 0.05 and 0.09, according to tvrinfo.ro, Petrol 95 cost RON 5.66 in June and one tank of petrol of 45 l cost RON 254, now the same petrol tank of 45 l cost RON 272. The 18 RON difference means exactly 3l of petrol. Rompetrol has raised prices several times and it considered only one cut. On Thursday, August 16, Rompetrol reduced petrol and diesel prices by RON 0.04 per l but it increased these prices on Friday by RON 0.09. In case of Lukoil petrol stations also the prices of fuels were modified 6 times in the second part of the year. Afterwards prices advanced by RON 0.41 to RON 0.49 per l, with petrol and diesel over RON 6/l.
