White Night of Vintage Cars at Mamaia

The White Night of Vintage Cars will be held at Mamaia through Friday night, according to a press release from event organizer Artmark Auction House Vintage car buffs will be able to admire the cars up for sale on Sunday, of which King Mihai’s former BMW 760Li.
For four days, Artmark cranks up the atmosphere at the Fratelli Club in Mamaia, where 2000 Horse Power will attract car fans at Sunday’s Vintage Car Auction, a first in Romania.
The auction preamble Thursday will feature Mihai Leu, Radu Mazare, Cristian Topescu and top collectors walking on the red carpet, after which the guests will attend a Private Cocktail Party, the first of the string of events dedicated to the first Vintage Car Auction in Romania. Starting from 18.00 hours, the most passionate car collectors and sound Romanian figures will test some of the most coveted cars in the 21-strong collection.
The exhibition will officially open Friday, 18.00 hours, and will continue with the White Night of Vintage Cars, an event open to the public at large until 02.00 hours on Saturday. The exhibition can also be visited on Saturday 18.00 hours thru midnight. The stars of the event will return for the final moment of the Vintage Car Auction, seconded by Sports Memorabilia and the Vintage Wines and Champagne Auction. Cristian Topescu, Raluca Lazarut and Codrut Keghes (The Naked One) will be the presenters auction at Sunday’s auction at Fratelli Beach & Club from 20.30 hours.
A number of 21 vintage car will be put out to auction Sunday, along with 29 pieces of “sports memorabilia”, 8 rare champagne bottles and two wine collections. The cars to go on the auction block include trademark brands used in the cult films of the  1960s-’70s and ‘80s, including Don Vito Corleone’s Lincoln Continental from the film “The Godfather”, the Jeep Wyllis from the “M.A.S.H.” TV series and the  Ford Mustang model driven by Jim Morrison in “HWY: An American Pastoral”, as well as King Mihai’s former car, BMW 760Li, and the Ferrari F399 Formula One Car piloted by  Michael Schumacher in the World Championship 1999. Other items to be auctioned off, the Munich 1972 Olympics torch and a merit pattern bearing the seal of Adolph Hitler.
